Perurail S.A., Cima Clinic and CEPRO Norma carried out an important medical campaign for people who live in Qorihuayrachina, Pampacahua and Chamana, districts of Machu Picchu Pueblo.

This important social activity was held at Qori Inti school, located at kilometer 88 of the Cuzco-Machu Picchu railway route, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.  The main beneficiaries were children, who endured broncho pulmonary diseases these last  few months due to the harsh cold front in the region.

Perurail’s aim is to strengthen the relationship between private companies and the communities, contributing not only with health programs, but also with education through the program “Mathematics for All”.

“It is an important social activity which benefits children and adults.  We hope there will be more campaigns for our communities, especially to help our children,” said Luis Enrique Fuyo Tucto, president of the community of Qorihuayrachina.

Perurail is thankful for the help and participation of more than 140 people who were treated; without their collaboration this campaign would not have been possible!
