SUMMARY
Day 1
Upon arrival in Lima, transfer will be provided to the exclusive Miraflores Park Hotel and your ocean view executive suite for a two night stay. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
After breakfast, there will be a tour of downtown Lima; considered since 1991 as a World Heritage Site for its magnificent colonial architecture. Then enjoy the Larco Herrera Museum, located in a royal mansion of the 18th century, and its gold and silver collections from ancient Peru as well as an interesting erotic pottery collection. Lunch will be served at the Museum, followed by the afternoon at leisure.
Day3
This morning, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the Hotel Monasterio, the hallowed colonial San Antonio Abad seminary, built more than 300 years ago. You will be welcomed with a comforting cup of hot coca tea and escorted to your deluxe oxygen-enriched room where you will overnight two nights. Lunch will be served in the main courtyard. This afternoon there will be a private tour to the Sacsayhuaman fortress located 1.24 miles north of the city of Cusco and to the nearby ruins of Quenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. At day’s end, enjoy an exquisite dinner at La Cicciolina Restaurant.
Day 4
Morning transfer will be arranged to Poroy; the Hiram Bingham train station, twenty five-minutes from Cusco. You will travel to Machu Picchu via the luxurious Hiram Bingham train. The train will arrive at 12:30 pm in Aguas Calientes where the guides will take you up to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu by private bus. Upon arrival, check-in for a one-night stay at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge located in a privileged area right at the entrance to this magnificent site. Next on your itinerary is a two-hour tour around the site, one of the most outstanding archaeological wonders of the world. Upon returning to the hotel, enjoy an exquisite afternoon "English style tea". This evening dinner will be served at Tampu; the hotel’s signature restaurant.
Day 5
This morning enjoy the wonders of Machu Picchu with a private guide with optional activities of your choice, such as: Hike up to the Huayna Picchu, Sunrise at the Inti Punku or a concentrated visit of Machu Picchu. Return to Cusco via the Hiram Bingham train. Upon arrival at Poroy, transfer will await to take you back to the Monasterio Hotel for a two night stay in a deluxe oxygen-enriched room.
Day 6
We have arranged a private transfer for a full day at the Sacred Valley, starting at the city of Chincheros, which still has the infrastructure of a typical Inca town. Afterwards, savor an exquisite lunch at the Huayocari house, where you can have a wonderful view of the valley. To continue this magical journey you will travel up the valley to Ollantaytambo, the last Inca town that still retains its original architecture. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the MAP café, located inside the most important Pre Columbian Art Museum in Cusco.
Day 7
In the morning you can indulge in a fascinating walk around the city of Cuzco. You will be pleased by the cathedral, churches and the old neighborhood of San Blas. Later there is a transfer to the airport to take your flight back to Lima, where an executive ocean view suite has been arranged at the Miraflores Park Hotel for a one-night stay. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to Mari Solari’s folk-art shop and private art collection followed by a personalized shopping tour.
Day 8
After breakfast spend your morning at leisure. You will later be transferred to Lima’s Airport to take your flight home.
