The singer and leader of the British rock band, The Rolling Stones, visited Cusco and did not hesitate to go around Cusco’s impressive lands. Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo and the Sacred Valley of the Incas were some of the places the performer of ‘Satisfaction’ decided visiting, claiming that the Inca Citadel was a marvelous place, while he was touring around the sanctuary with his family.

For this visit, Mick Jagger was declared as a Distinguished Guest in Cusco.

Demi Moore

The renowned American actress traveled to the city of Cusco accompanied by her daughter Rumer, with whom she visited Machu Picchu, being amazed by the tour in the Inca Citadel.

Katy Perry

After a great concert as part of “the Prismatic World Tour”, the American singer could not miss the chance to visit the millenary lands of Peru. Upon visiting Machu Picchu, she was amazed by its impressive architecture and amazing handicraft. Katy Perry did not hesitate to take pictures in the Inca Citadel playing a zampoña (Peruvian instrument) and share this amazing moment on her social networks.

Jim Carey

The renowned Canadian actor visited Machu Picchu in 2011 and was delighted by the Inca Citadel. He also claimed on his Twitter account that the world wonder was “Inca-redible”. Carey was not affected by the height of Cusco, however, that did not stop him from trying mate de coca (coca tea) and quinoa.

One Direction

Harry Styles and Liam Payne, members of the boy band from London OneDirection, traveled to Cusco, after a spectacular show in Lima. The two singers did not hesitate to visit and tour the majestic Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. They were accompanied by 15 people who were part of their film staff. In addition, both British uploaded pictures of their stay and trip; and claimed they were amazed by Peruvian gastronomy and Inca architecture.

 

Other people who visited the magnificent region of Cusco were Bono, singer of U2; the actresses Susan Sarandon and Cameron Diaz, the Spanish actor Antonio Banderas, the top model Cindy Crawford, among others.

Just like the big stars from around the globe did not hesitate to travel and visit a country full of culture, tradition and the best natural landscapes, you can’t miss the chance to experience every single corner of Cusco, a region with an impressive ancestral history.
