Railway operations in the Machupicchu – Hydroelectric section have been temporarily suspended, due to a landslide that occurred in the Mandor area (Km 115). It is important to specify that this section corresponds to an alternate access route to Machu Picchu, with less traffic, and is not part of the main access. The regular service between Ollantaytambo and Machupicchu continues to operate normally, without being affected by this event. 

Ferrocarril Transandino S.A., concessionaire of the railway, informs that provisional works are being carried out with the aim of resuming the service as of Sunday, April 5, provided that weather conditions allow it.
