What to do for Easter in Cusco?

Easter is one of the most important religious holidays in the world and the millenary Cusco is no exception. During those dates, many tourists take advantage of this vacation to visit Machu Picchu and it is advisable to buy the train to the Inca Citadel in advance.

Palm Sunday is the beginning of Easter and in the city of Cusco the traditional blessing of Ramos is performed, and then pay tribute to Jesus Christ with a massive procession.

Yes, Machu Picchu will be open during the Easter holidays. On these dates, you will find national and international tourists willing to get to know the Inca citadel.
