PeruRail informs that the concessionaire of the railway, Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. (FTSA), has suspended train operations on the Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu section, due to a forest fire reported at km 107 +400.
The frequencies affected so far are as follows:

FTSA points out that it is permanently monitoring the state of the railway, and as soon as security conditions allow it, it will authorize the passage of trains to evacuate, as a priority, passengers who are in Machu Picchu.
