PeruRail S.A., the railway operator on the south-eastern route of the country, informs its passengers, travel agencies, tour operators and the community in general that Ferrocarril Transandino S.A. has reported that, after resolving the derailment at Pk 96+950 on the Machu Picchu – Ollantaytambo route, the track is now open for trains to pass through as of 9:00 p.m. today.

We will therefore gradually resume operations of our tourist and local services with their respective rescheduled timetables.
