Warmi Away, women artisans of Peru
Andean women who weave stories that travel to Machu Picchu
A celebration that transcends borders
A day to celebrate the strength, creativity and craftsmanship of Peru’s artisans to honour the strength, creativity, and resilience. In the Andes, this celebration takes on a unique meaning. At PeruRail, we highlight the artistry of the women from Cusco’s communities, who preserve ancestral weaving techniques and carry their heritage onto our trains bound for Machu Picchu, inspiring travellers from every corner of the globe.
