PeruRail, in its commitment to continue providing timely information following the train accident that occurred on 30 December 2025, reports that 41 passengers have already been discharged. The person who was in intermediate care has now been moved to a regular room. Therefore, at this time, four people remain hospitalised in stable condition: two passengers and two PeruRail employees. In addition, six people have been treated on an outpatient basis.

Regarding the situation of the trains, we reaffirm that railway operations have been fully restored. Yesterday, the first day of 2026, PeruRail transported more than 5,000 passengers to and from Machu Picchu.
